Chris Sheperd, Head Coach
Bio
My name is Chris Sheperd, but everyone calls me Coach Shep! I met my wife in 2010, and we have two kids who keep us busy. Grayson (8) plays club soccer, and Hailey (6) does dance and competitive cheer. We live in Villa Rica and are members of Midway Church.
I played baseball in college at Columbus State before graduating from the University of West Georgia. I've been teaching since 2013 and coaching since 2010. I was head coach of baseball for 3 years and head coach of fastpitch softball for 10 years. I've led my teams to 2 region championships, earned 2 Coach of the Year awards, and achieved 8 straight playoff appearances.
This year, I'm excited to join the Wildcats as a math teacher, the head coach of the girls' flag football team, and the assistant coach for the girls' fastpitch softball team. I'm looking forward to another great year of teaching and coaching!
