Bio
It's great to be a Wildcat! I have been teaching for 31 years, and have been in the Villa Rica Cluster since 2005. I obtained my BSEd from the University of North Alabama, and my MEd from Coppin State University. I taught elementary school for 25 years before making the jump to high school and have loved every minute of being at VRHS! I currently teach 9th Grade Literature, World Literature and the Journalism/Social Media class, which runs all of our VR Athletics social media pages. I am also the Senior Class co-sponsor.
I have been married to my husband Greg for 30 years, and we have two children who are both graduates of VRHS. Our daughter, Karlie, graduated from Georgia Southern University and currently splits her time between Haines, AK and Asheville, NC, where she works in outdoor recreation. Our son, Chad, is a graduate of The University of Alabama and lives in Knoxville, TN, where he is a civil engineer with the Tennessee Dept. of Transportation. We are all proud to bleed purple and gold and yell GO WILDCATS!
In my spare time, I enjoy being with my family, photography and traveling. I love the Atlanta Braves and college football. Even though our son went to Bama, you will find me yelling GO DAWGS on Saturdays!!!!
Don't judge each day by the harvest you reap, but by the seeds you plant.
