The Villa Rica Marching Wildcats Band finished its competition season last Saturday, winning Grand Champion Band in the Blue Division at the Southern National Band Championships at North Paulding High School and received all Superior ratings under the direction of new band director Robin Harry. The Marching Wildcats received all Superior ratings and took First Place in Class for Drum Major, Color Guard, Percussion and Band at the Yellow Jacket Classic at Rockmart High School on October 3rd. At the Fort Mountain Classic at Murray County High School, the Marching Wildcats received all Superior ratings, took First Place in Class for Drum Major, Color Guard, Percussion, and Band, and received the Best Overall Marching Award.  The Marching Wildcats Band looks forward to performing its halftime show at the Georgia Dome this Saturday at the Villa Rica vs. Mays football game.
