Quick Facts about the VRHS Tennis Team

Does VRHS really have a tennis team??

Absolutely!

Both Boys’ and Girls’ tennis

Offered at the Varsity & JV levels

Seven starting players for each:  3 singles and 2 doubles

JV will serve as second string Varsity

Fundraisers available to defray costs

Keep your own uniform

Must meet GHSA requirements for valid physical and eligibility

No game experience required to make JV, but you will be required to demonstrate basic skills such as serving and volleying.

When is the season?

Season officially begins in January, with matches ending in the Region and State tournaments in April! 

Use the fall to practice and improve!

Where do we practice and play?

Home matches are held at the courts at Mirror Lake or Gold Dust Park.

For individual practices/playing time:

Public courts are available at Gold Dust Park.

Community courts are available in many subdivisions and apartment complexes.

Lessons are available through Mirror Lake and Fairfield Plantation.
