 Retiring Wildcats

Villa Rica High School is hosting a retirement reception to honor Jan Ogletree, Tony Shaw, and Claudia Best on Sunday, May 23rd.  The reception will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 in the V-Plex on Hwy. 61.  The public is invited to come celebrate with these dedicated and much-loved teachers who have been part of the VRHS family for many years.

 Mr. Brown Fulfills His Promise
The VRHS Junior class met the challenge on the GHSGT. The class as a whole met the goal of 88% on the ELA portion of the test and 75% on the Math portion of the test. In response to the success of the Junior class, Mr. Brown made good on his promise. The railroad would not give permission to use their catwalk downtown, so Mr. Brown was instead suspended in a bucket truck at the new Villa Rica Amphitheater in downtown Villa Rica. He went up in the bucket at 7 a.m. on Wednesday, May 12th and remained there until 7 a.m. on Thursday, May 13th, braving all the elements. Students, faculty, staff, and the citizens of Villa Rica all came out and supported Mr. Brown as he celebrated the achievement of the Junior Class of VRHS.
